Dipl.-Ing. Architect. Currently working on daylighting and lighting simulation as research fellow in the Solar and Energy Efficient Building Cluster of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) after several years of experience as an employed architect with regional focus on Turkey. Freelance work in light simulation, e.g. in the scope of a research project at TU Darmstadt on Hagia Sophia, funded by "Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft" (translates to "German Research Foundation)", and studies on daylight modeling and high dynamic range imaging in cooperation with Dr. Stephen Wittkopf, NU Singapore. Besides German as mother-tongue, English, French, Turkish and Latin.

- 1974 born in Bonn.
- 1994 Abitur (German high school degree) at municipal high school Siebengebirgsgymnasium Bad Honnef.
- 1994-1995 civil service, Chemisches Landes- und Staatliches Veterinäruntersuchungsamt des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (state laboratory for analysis and monitoring mainly of food), Münster.
- 1995-2003 studies of architecture at Technical University Darmstadt, member of several boards of both university and student body during these years.
- 2000-2003 work in the students' computer lab Rechnerpool at the faculty of architecture. Development and implementation of the faculty network's core components and migration to open source solutions.
- 2001- contributions to the research project "Hagia Sophia in Istanbul" at the department of archeology
- 2003-2004 studies of architecture at Istanbul Technical University.
- 2005 graduation from TU Darmstadt (German Diplom).
- 2005-2008 work first as trainee, later employee in architectural offices in Germany and Turkey.
- 2008- research fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS).
